It seems like every few weeks we hear about some celebrity who went on a juice cleanse or cookie diet and dropped 10 pounds while feeling great. These stories are usually bogus, but there is a kernel of good advice hidden beneath the marketing-speak.
With our hectic schedules and sub-optimal nutritional intake, we can start feeling run down, fat, and just overall gross. It’s good to take some control back over our schedules and our bodies and engage in a weekend detox. Now, let’s be clear, this is not a fast or a crash diet, the weekend detox is about checking in with yourself and giving your body the time and tools it needs to heal itself.
