Don’t Be Fooled by These Detox Myths

Wouldn’t it be great if changing the way you eat for a few days could undo months of overindulging, heavy drinking, stress overload, or subsisting on cold coffee and stale office pastries? What if, by embarking on a week-long cleanse, you could press the reset button on all of your internal organs and start back at square one?

When you look at it this way, doesn’t the entire premise of a detox sound a little silly? I mean, think about it. What’s going to have a greater impact on your health — a 72-hour regimen chock full of oddball foods and teas you’ll never eat or drink again, or the stuff that’s landing on your plate the other 362 days of the year?
